Heat Wave

So happy that it warmed up this week since we still have a lot of winter left. 55 degrees feels like a heat wave. I took the boys to the park to play on the playground and go hiking. It's so funny that Cole wants to walk everywhere and he doesn't even want to hold my hand, Mr. independence. They are going to start framing our home next week, thank goodness. The close on our home in Louisville went great and it's a relief but it feels weird not to have a home to go to in Louisville. The apartment it is for now, can't believe we are back to apt. living until the house is done. We joined a gym/country club and took the boys swimming with cousin Tricia and Derron. All the boys had a blast splashing around and Carson jumping in from the side. I think Chad and I will use the club a lot to escape the apartment and the winter.

Breaking ground

They started our new home, I'll post pictures every so often to show the progress. It will be fun to see it start to finish to see how it all works. It seems so far away right now but I know 3 months will fly by. Good things to come in spring, the new house, playing with the boys outside, and my mom coming back from Texas. Can't wait. :)

Relocating

We sold our house the week before Christmas and we're building a home in a family community called Harmony in Union KY, 15 min. from downtown Cincinnati. They broke ground and started building on Jan. 8th and it should be done early April. We celebrated the start of the house by taking the boys for chocolate chip ice cream.
Chad loves his new job at Scripps Networks Interactive. I am adjusting to the move and living in a corporate apartment for now that Carson calls Carson's clubhouse. :) Carson started his new preschool in Florence KY last week and loved it. Cole is just as happy as can be and thinks he's a 3 yr. old playing with all of Carson's buddies from the new playgroup and moms club. I've made some friends but miss my Louisville friends and hope to still see them a lot since it's only a little over an hour from Louisville.
